2026 Southwest Winemaker Challenge Announces Top Winners
Dolce Estivo Winery Named Winery of the Year
The 2026 Southwest Winemaker Challenge has announced its top winners, recognizing standout wines and meads from across the region. This year, Dolce Estivo Winery has been named 2026 Southwest Winery of the Year.
“Receiving the 2026 Winery of the Year award is an incredible honor for us. It showcases our perseverance, winemaking methods, and approach with Texas terroir that our customers have come to love and enjoy,” said Dolce Estivo Winery.
Key winners from the 2026 competition include Red Dirt Vineyards Tannat Rosé 2024, honored in Blush and Rosé Wines; High Lonesome Vineyard Retirement - Malbec 2022, honored in Red Wines; and Drinking Horn Meadery Peach, honored in Fruit Wines, Vermouth and Other Wine Types.
The Southwest Winemaker Challenge celebrates excellence in regional winemaking, highlighting the producers, growers, and winemakers helping define the character and quality of the Southwest wine industry.
